Holiday Green Beans

Just wondering who is going to sit at the sink all morning and snap the fresh green beans? Any volunteers?

for lack of anyone else to talk to...

...505-89-4975....ring....ring...ring....

"Hello?"
"Hi Nan! It's Linds"
"Oh HI HONEY!"
"Nanny, I think I'm losing my marbles. I've overcommitted myself once again and can't catch up with my own life!"
"Well, honey, I don't know how to fix that, but why don't you come on over and we'll order a Little Cesar's Pizza."
"I can't think of anywhere else I want to be right now. That is exactly what I need. I'll be right over."
"I love you."
"I love you."

There's no better place to be than Nanny's house...wish more than anything that I could go there tonight.

Wild Turkey

In the aisles of Kelly Liquors:

Kevin: "I don't know what kind of whiskey to get for the cruise"

Nanny: "Oh...Wild Turkey is really good, and its in a plastic bottle so it wont break in your suitcase"

Kevin: "Nanny! How do you know that is good?"

Nanny: "Ohhhhhh, thats just what I've heard it...someone told me"

I'll never forget...

892-4975...you could call it to ask for a ride in a little yellow car, ask if you could spend the night, confirm your choice of pizza places, or simply say "Come my house, bring doughnuts".

Two words...

Bees, Beas, Everywhere!

This is a blog for bee lovers...well, one Bea in particular. We all miss her, this we know, and we all go through times of heartache and loneliness when thinking about her. This is a forum for memories, both happy and sad. It is my hope that, in the times when you miss her the most, you can turn to this blog to laugh, cry and reminisce...I know that I will.

I will begin with one of my favorite memories. I left home for college in August of 2000. This was a difficult transition for the family because it was the first time that Brandon was the lone wolfling of the family. Kevin and I decided to ease this transition by driving home for Brandon's birthday to surprise him. We drove through the night and pulled into Nanny's apartment building at some awful hour of the night. She didn't know we were coming. "Knock, knock, knock"...."Knock, Knock, Knock"...we started thinking that we would have to sleep in our car, as we were NOT going to ruin the surprise by going home too early. About ten minutes later we saw the safety pin unlatch from the drapes on her front window and there she was, eyes as big as the sky! Although we were there to surprise Brandon, and we did that, too, Ill never forget the surprise on her face when she opened that door. I, for one, know that there was NO BETTER PLACE TO BE than Nanny's "house".
